Coffee Chats with Kat is a weekly, candid video series with Creative at Heart founder, Kat Schmoyer. Creative at Heart’s mission is to encourage dreams & equip business so in true C@H fashion, Kat’s asked industry experts to do just that! These videos are unscripted & unedited – meant to feel like we’re all sitting down together at your fave local coffee shop. Sit back, relax & enjoy!

When I started this series, I knew I wanted to talk with experts on topics for your head and also for your heart.  Today’s episode is heartfelt & intimate:

Rachel joins me in this week’s episode talking about what it looked like for her to walk through grief while owning a business.

She and I have a similar bond – we’ve both navigating the heartache of miscarriage. Rachel opened up about her journey through miscarriage and how that directly effected her business. As small business owners, we don’t always get to take a “sick day” and that can be particularly tricky when we are walking through tough emotional, mental and physical seasons.

I’m personally grateful to Rachel for sharing such heartfelt advice & encouragement and hope that if you find yourself in a similar season, this is hope-filled for you.

(Are you personally struggling with miscarriage or infant-loss? If you are walking through that grief right now, I’d love to share a helpful resource: The Joyful Morning. Ashlee is the heart behind this powerful community and her wisdom & resources have been so helpful for me personally as well as hundreds of other women. I couldn’t share today’s chat with Rachel and not share Ashlee’s valuable resource, too.)
